We’re also working on beginning a chain of ongoing support groups. FOLX, the first telehealth platform for the queer and trans community, is set to launch on December 3, 2020.The platform aims to improve the healthcare experience for LGBTQIA+ people by proving queer and trans-specific medical products and services. Just two months after launching out of stealth mode, Folx Health, a Boston startup dedicated to providing accessible healthcare to the LGBTQ+ community, announced Tuesday it raised 25 million of fresh funding. What is T-FFED? In their words, “T-FFED is a collective of trans and gender-diverse people and allies working to make visible, interrupt and undermine the disproportionately high incidence of EDs in our communities. A new organization, Trans Folx Fighting Eating Disorders (T-FFED) is hoping to change that. Sadly, both popular preconceptions about the incidence of eating disorders and resources set up to help those struggling with them erase and neglect many groups of people, including those who are trans and gender non-conforming. Eating disorders affect people of all ages, races, social backgrounds, and genders. FOLX, the first telehealth platform for the queer and trans community, is set to launch on December 3, 2020.
